Troubleshooting guidance

Fix My WiFi provides troubleshooting guidance based on the information and test results you provide. It does not guarantee a fix, does not replace your ISP, and does not access or change your router settings.

No guaranteed outcome

Diagnosis results use phrases like most likely, based on your answers, and this points toward because home networks vary. A recommendation may not resolve every issue.

Safety boundaries

Do not open ISP-owned outdoor boxes, climb roofs or ladders for cabling, modify electrical wiring, bypass ISP equipment restrictions, expose admin passwords, or disable Wi-Fi security because of this app.

  • For damaged wiring, electrical concerns, provider-owned hardware, business networks, or hard-to-reach equipment, contact the appropriate professional.
  • Do not factory reset provider-managed gateways unless you understand how settings and service can be restored.

Payments and reports

Paid report checkout, when enabled, is processed by Stripe. The report is based on the answers and test results available at the time of diagnosis.

Service updates

Fix My WiFi may update diagnosis questions, rules, report formats, and guidance over time. Results are based on the version available when you run the diagnosis.
