How Fix My WiFi handles diagnosis answers, test results, reports, and optional telemetry.
Updated May 28, 2026
What this service does not collect
Fix My WiFi is designed for simple home troubleshooting. The service does not ask for your Wi-Fi password, router admin password, precise home address, or router login.
The free diagnosis does not require an account. Browser-local diagnosis results can be stored in your browser so you can see the result and report preview on the same device.
- No Wi-Fi password collection.
- No router login or router configuration access.
- No precise location collection.
- No account required for the free diagnosis.
Information you provide
The diagnosis can use answers such as your main symptom, approximate internet plan speed, manual speed-test results, latency numbers, router location, affected rooms, and whether multiple devices are affected.
If payment is enabled, checkout is handled by Stripe. Fix My WiFi does not store raw card numbers.
Local storage
Fix My WiFi can store your most recent diagnosis snapshot in localStorage so the result page and report preview can work without an account or database-backed session.
Clearing your browser storage removes this local result from the device.
Analytics and error reports
Telemetry is disabled unless explicitly enabled by site configuration. When enabled, the app sends limited product events such as page views and client errors to the app's own telemetry endpoint.
Telemetry payloads are intentionally small and do not include Wi-Fi passwords, router passwords, or raw diagnosis answers.
Data sharing
Fix My WiFi does not sell user network data. If affiliate links are added later, they will be disclosed near recommendations.
