Run the same speed test where the symptom happens.
Note whether the router is open and central or hidden in a corner, cabinet, closet, basement, floor, garage, or behind a TV.
Note whether a mesh node is halfway to the weak room, and whether Ethernet or coax is available.
Record home type, square footage, floors, and hardware budget if known.
If router-side speed is healthy but the worst room drops hard, test halfway node placement before buying a larger kit.
